Fault Phenomenon

PHILIPS EPIQ 7 ultrasound power was suddenly cut off during use, and then switched on again after power was switched on. After two sudden power cuts, it started up again with abnormal start fault. The display stayed at the interface of "PHILIPS" for a long time, and finally entered the interface with an error of "511", the device couldn't be normally used.

Troubleshooting and maintenance

According to the description of the operator, to plug EPIQ7 according to boot key boot after Lord of ultrasonic power, found the screen for a long time stay is the BIOS testing interface (see below), restart enter BIOS interface, check the BIOS Settings appear problem, not on the basis of the BIOS test only for EPIQ7 front in self-inspection on startup, thus eliminate front-end equipment has a problem, should appear in front of the partial suspect malfunction. Pull out the ACQ and Power REG PCB in the back-end PC,remove all the front-end load, leaving the PC part only. The fault was still found, and it was determined that the fault should be in the PC part. Enter the startup interface and report the error "511". Check the error log and find the message "Plantform Monitor failed to start the Digital Media Manger process", that is, some parts are considered to have failed to start, so it is necessary to find the parts that have failed to start to determine whether they are the cause of the fault. Remove all circuit boards and cables connected to the PC motherboard, leaving only the hard disk, memory and graphics card. Restart EPIQ7 ultrasonic and it will be found that the BIOS detection interface will soon complete the detection, boot normally without any error, and the fault is eliminated. It is judged that the damaged part is inserted into the part just removed one at a time and then the device is restarted. It is found that the fault returns after the DVD cable is inserted into the motherboard and the fault still exists after the REPLACEMENT of the DVD cable. It is suspected that the DVD damage caused the EPIQ7 fault.
